Randall "Moose" Slone

 

 

Introduction:

My name is Randall “Moose” Slone I was given the nickname “Moose” when I was in grade school by a class mate name Wayne Smith. Some of my family and teachers don’t remember my name. Born here in Hindman in 1963 but went to school in Detroit, Michigan until I was 13 years old then my family moved back and I finished school here in Knott County.

 

Family:

Trish and I have been together since 1997, we meet while we both worked for the Knott County School System. We have two Boys Jeremy “27”, and Marty “20”. Trish works for the Knott County School System as a School Bus Driver, School Bus Driver Trainer, and is the Third Party Examiner for this Area. Jeremy graduated from Morehead State University and now works for White Hall Mobile Home and Marty attends Hazard Community College and is in Army National Guard in Hazard Kentucky.

 

Work:

I work at the Knott County Area Technology Center as the Building and Apartment Maintenance Instructor. My classes are made up of high school students from grades 10 to 12. There are four fields that I teach Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC.

 

Hobbies & Interests:

I enjoy the outdoor and working in my wood shop at home. Riding my 4-wheeler, bike, hunting, and camping with my family and friends are the best part about weekends. I am a volunteer fire fighter & EMT for Pippa Passes & Ball Creek VFD. I am an EMT instructor for Hazard Community and Technical College.
